Clover Bay Holiday Complex overlooks one of SA's safest and unspoilt beaches in this protected bay. St Michael’s on Sea is a popular swimming and surfing/body boarding beach at the mouth of the Umhlangeni River. Its popularity with surfers/body boarders is thanks to it having one of the best point breaks in South Africa.

The beach is patrolled by life guards and the water protected by shark nets. Another highlight is the grass embankment that has a childrens swimming pool, a tidal pool and a number of rock pools filled with interesting sea creatures. If you enjoy walking, there are two magnificent walks along the coast line - one a grassy path from the tidal pool south along Orange Rock to Uvongo - the other a walk north along the coast line toward Shelly Beach boat launching site and fishing club. Youngsters will enjoy exploring the rock pools. 

You could spend the day swimming, surfing or paddling, or just lie back and relax and soak up the suns rays whilst watching the youngsters play in the beach sand next to the lagoon.

The complex is situated on the north side of the lagoon on St Michael's Beach, and minutes away from Shelly Centre and the South Coast Mall.
